We have a lot of Mac users, therefor we also have a lot of Entourage Clients. We just resently found out that when we send out a e-mail, format is HTML, the reciever only see the mail as plain text. This is not a reciever problem, we have testet with a lot of clients in the reciever end, the result is always the same.
We just downloaded the new Office 2011 for mac, and testet with the new Outlook, but the problem is still the same and we also tryed with the Mac Mail program, same result. Now im thinking that this must be a Exchange setting, that strips down the e-mail in some way. The problem is not present on all my Windows PCs with Outlook 2003/2007/2010. Does anyone have an idear to what I can change to resolve this problem, som when sending a HTML mail from Mac, it is recieved as a HTML mail by any client, that accepts it. You should see the Default domain. On the properties of Default, how are the settings configured for the Message Format and Advanced tabs? For Exchange 2007 or 2010, go to the management console. Expand Organizational Configuration and select hub transport. Click the Remote Domains tab and go to the properties of the domains listed. How are the settings configured on the 'Format of original message sent as attachment to journal report:' tab? Are the Entourage clients sending to a contact?
If so, did the client specify text as the default format for the recipient?
The short answer is No. The longer answer is Office '11 Home and Student version has NO email program included - that is what sets it apart from the Home and Business version. Mac and cheese for 2. And the Home and Business version has done away with Entourage and converted over to Outlook.
Which I think all will agree is better. BEWARE however, the Outlook in Office 2011 does NOT support Exchange 2003 which many companies still utilize, including my own. So for me, getting Outlook won't do any good. • Answered by Anonymous A from Xxxxx • Oct 26, 2010 •.
