I just changed the Skype profile picture on my TouchPad, and no one else sees the new one. How do I get it to propagate to other Skype contacts?

We have two TouchPads and two Windows PCs in our household, each with their own Skype account. When I change a profile picture on a Windows PC, other Skype users see the new picture fairly quickly. Changing a profile picture on the TouchPad doesn't change what other Skype contacts see.

You must have more than one skype account based on your description. Just log in to the pc skype app with the account you're using on the tp and change your profile pic. Btw, I don't even have a contact entry on my tp for my skype account. And that explains your dilemma. You created a contact for your own skype account, but that contact info (and profile) is apparently not what skype sees or uses. You have to change that info through the full pc app. That changes it on the skype servers and that's the info the world sees.

The TP account is different from the PC account because they are 2 different users, and they sometimes like to have video conversations without getting out of their comfy chairs in different rooms. Actually, there are 4 users involved, spread over 2 PCs and 2 TPs. This is how the travellers in the family keep in touch. The last time I changed Skype accounts on the PC, it deleted the contacts and favorites and call history, and it was a mess getting it straight again. I think what I need to do is create a separate login on the PC for the TP users, and install Skype separately for that login.

Maybe a future version of TP Skype could include this feature.
